I was just reviewing some of the recent changes made in the Wiki FAQs -
someone with the Wiki username Latitude30 (I'm not sure who this is on
our team) edited this page:
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/FAQ/Writer/FormattingPagesAndDocuments/Where_is_the_gallery
If you take a look at the diff (comparing the edits I made and the last
edit made by Latitude30, you can see the corrections made (in red):
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/w/index.php?title=Documentation%2FFAQ%2FWriter%2FFormattingPagesAndDocuments%2FWhere_is_the_gallery&diff=194772&oldid=194633
I thought it was worth mentioning so that we all know to catch the
little things:
- Make sure that there is a Category applied to _every_ Wiki page.
These are important for indexing our documentation pages.
- Make sure you mark each checked FAQ page as "Checked for technical
accuracy" if you have validated a page. This lets the readers know that
the information is reliable, and lets the rest of the team know they
don't need to check the page again :-)
Hint, adding the "Checked for technical accuracy" stamp is easy.. just
paste this text at the top of the page and when you save your edits, the
Wiki will insert your name and the date:
{{Documentation/CheckedAccuracy|--~~~~)}}
Keep up the great work everyone. Every contribution helps - even if
it's a simple thing like correcting a typo!
C.
PS: Adding the image on the Gallery FAQ was a great idea.
