Last week we agreed to send US$1,000 to Kazunari Hirano. I had to send
it in two pieces, which is why he refers to "another donation from
OOoAuthors". I recommend his blog for information about what's been
happening and the progress of his refugee project.

Hi Jean,

Thanks for your Gift from OOoAuthors.
I received another donation from OOoAuthors for my refugee project today.
Your donation and initial donations from others are very helpful for my project.
I could set up a small evacuation center and be ready to accommodate
3, 4 people from the devastated areas.
Now I have to go meet refugees in evacuation centers in the devastated
areas and tell them about my project.
I made a web page on my project,
http://www.ne.jp/asahi/hirano/kazunari/quake_en.html
I tweeted my project, and I blogged my project.
http://openoffice.exblog.jp/12325587/
But you know, people in evacuation centers can not access Internet!

Today I met a photographer from european pressphoto agency, www.epa.eu
He asked me to be an interpreter accompanying him to the devastated areas.
What a chance! I can come up to refugees and tell them about my project.

Please convey my thanks to our friends of OOoAuthors.

Best Regards,
khirano
