Hi Vivian I saved a one line test file from MS Word 2003 as a Works 6.0/7.0 format .wps file.
Both OOo 3.3.0 and LO 3.3.2 opened this file ok. Later versions (2004) of MS works actually use MS Word as the writing program so saving as doc or rtf is possible.
