Martin, I've now been through this chapter and have several comments. 1) Because of the changes between OOo 3.3 and 3.4, and the delay in release of OOo 3.4, and the advantage of a complete set of guides updated to OOo 3.3, I am going to produce two versions of this chapter: one for OOo 3.3 and one for OOo 3.4. The main thing that won't be in the 3.3 version is the name change from "Eyedropper" to "Color Changer".
2) What you see when scanning depends on the operating system and the scanner itself. The description in this chapter may work for Linux but bears little resemblance to what happens with my Windows XP machine and its scanner. Chapter 4 of the Impress Guide includes a good generic description, which I am going to copy into this Draw Guide chapter. 3) You commented that when using Insert > File, you could only select complete slides, not select objects on a slide. I have tested this and it works for me as described, except when it doesn't work. I have no idea what was different about my tests, so I don't know if it was something I did or an intermittent fault in the program or what. I'll leave the instructions as written. --Jean On Wed, 2011-06-22 at 09:58 +0200, Martin Fox wrote: > I will check the "Scan to file" functions, and will post only if things > have changed (the screens look the same as before, guessing that > functionality is also unchanged). > > On Wed, 22 Jun 2011 17:48:57 +1000 Jean Hollis Weber > <jeanwe...@gmail.com> wrote: > > > On Wed, 2011-06-22 at 09:25 +0200, Martin Fox wrote: > > > Uploaded Chapter 6, Editing Pictures. > > > A number of screenshots to be replaced. > > > Checked against OOo 3.4Beta and LO3.4.1rc1 > > > > > > Comments as noted in document. > > > > > > Martin > > > > > > Many thanks, Martin!
