I have now discovered that I can get to the OOo website, including the mailing list archives, from Safari on the iPad, but not from Firefox 5.0 on Ubuntu 11.04 on my main machine. I haven't taken the time to try any of my other computers or browsers. (I also discovered that my main problem with accessing the list archives was that I was using an obsolete address for the archives.
