I would like to see an area that distinguishes between like the lead author/owner of the file and the contributors.Janet M. Swisher wrote:
+1 on putting Authors in the "front matter". I'd actually put it immediately following Copyright. That way, by the time you get to Acknowledgments, you know who is doing the acknowledging (assuming you read this page at all, of course).
Ok, Janet's edit:
http://oooauthors.org/Members/dcarrera/new-template-janet.sxw/file_view
How's that?
Janet, how do you feel about the license change proposal?
I really want to get some more feedback.
Cheers,
Also, in lew of a modifications section, perhaps somewhere in the font matter that says, "This version of the document was last checked against version XXX of OOo." Or something that gets that point across.
As for license stuff. I don't really understand what the GPL is. What I got from the e-mails was that if someone is to print the OOo Authors stuff, they have to include the source code. This seems stupid when it come to documents. I guess we have to keep it so we could be linked with OOo in the future or something, which is fine. It sounds like this CC thing is the answer (at least the dual license that is.)
Thanks for your time and energy looking into this.
