My objection to the big (top to bottom) logo is that it makes the chapter title page too much like the book covers. I think the big logos are perfect for the book covers, but not for the chapter title pages.
I agree with Daniel's statement that
I think this now looks different enough from the front cover, but it still
goes well together. It's just a small variation on the same theme.
