That's why it's so important that people clearly agree to the user guide terms. Like you did just a few moments ago. So if you contribute the image to the user guide, then we know you're giving it under the UG license. You are still free to put it in any other license you like. Though, putting it in "BY-NC" and also putting it in the UG is kind of silly because, if you give it to the UG, you are giving it under BY as part of the deal. But, for example, you could put it in the BY folder. And that would work perfectly. I suspect that's what you want.
