I have downloaded a chapter, Styles Reference, but could not mark it as being downloaded, but not too worry, will not up load it until I downolad it properly.

The purpose of marking it as being taken for review is to minimize duplication of effort of having more than one person looking at a chapter at the same time. I can change the state of that chapter for you, and in fact I have just done that.

One of the questions that I have pertains to the screen shots. (The others I shall formulate and post later)

So within a chapter the screen shots (SS) are to be from the same OS and look the same.
My question is, is there a suggestion on where the SS should be placed in relation to the text describing it?
I realize that this might be picky but just would like to know.
That is in the section on Alignment Tab the SS is near to the end.
and in the section on Text Flow tab the SS is near to the beginning.

I find that when the SS is near to (not right at) the beginning, I tend to understand the text easier, but that is just me.

The question is, is there any suggestions on where the SS should be placed?

When practical, screenshots should be placed where they fit best into the flow of the text, and this will vary. For example, in a procedure with numbered steps, you would normally try to put the screenshots in sequence with the text referring to them, but in a reference chapter like this one, I agree they should probably go close to the beginning of the topic. However, in some cases, the placement of a screenshot depends on where there is space on the page, so the placement may not be ideal.

It happens that the chapter you are looking at is still in an early draft stage and no attempt has been made to make the placement of screenshots either logical or consistent. That will come later, after the text is finalised.
