Currently there is no page layout option such that a blank page never

In our Formatting Pages document (to bring it back on topic :-) ) there
is the following incorrect tip on pg 29:

"Do not set a starting page number that is an even number or you will
end up with a blank page before the first page when you print the file
or save it as a PDF."

The issue is not whether it is an odd or even number but whether it
follows in the odd/even pattern from the previous page number.

In the tip you mention, I was specifically talking about the setting the page number for the *first* page in a document (file) to something other than 1. In that case it does not "follow" from a previous page number, so I believe my tip is correct for that special case. Apparently I didn't make that clear, so I'll fix it.

Good points in the rest of your note, Ian (snipped here). I'll add something to that chapter about the gotchas that apply when setting a page number for a page *within* a document, where indeed the page follows from a previous page.

Cheers, Jean
