people are doing with formatting that don't fit into the style we're using,
and some other common problems. Read and heed! :-)
1) Be sure to change the default styles that OOo puts on things like frames
and figure captions, to an OOoAuthors style. For example, change "Frame" to
"OOoFrame" and Figure (on captions) to OOoFigureCaption.
2) Anchor the frames containing screenshots *as character* NOT "to
paragraph", to prevent them from moving around during editing (esp. a
problem if the paragraph ends up on a different page after text is added or
removed).
3) Anchor the graphics (which are inside the frame) *as character* also.
4) Do *not* put a border on the frame around a graphic and its caption. The
OOoFrame style has no border in the latest template.
5) In some cases you can put a border around the graphic itself, if the
graphic doesn't effectively have its own border (screenshots, unless
cropped, normally have a "border" of their own).
6) Use OOo's Caption facility (Insert > Caption) to insert captions for
figures. That way the figure number is a field and you can then cross
reference to the fields.
7) Use Insert > Cross Reference for all references to headings, figures,
and other items. Do *not* type in the reference, as the figure number or
the text of a heading may change.
6) Window names are in normal type, *not* italics or bold or whatever style
corresponds to those.

If you use the OOo Figure style, the frame will be centered.
