Well I think that is the first review of the document completed, which
is available at:

http://oooauthors.org/en/authors/userguide2/calc/feedback/Appendix_C_Description_of_Functions_13Apr05_RB_AM.sxw

I made a lot of little changes here and there, and corrected a few
typos and formatting problems, but there were three major changes I
made:

1) Put the variables for each function in italics. This is a standard
command syntax format, to indicate more clearly which part of the
command is used 'as is', and which parts are up to the user to fill in
themselves.

2) Similar to the first part, I went through and read which elements
in the functions were optional, and put square brackets around them,
so that to someone who is familiar with example syntax, they will be
able to quickly ascertain whether a variable is necessary or not.

3) The use of large lists was a bit inconsistent. Some had things like
"Number_1; Number_2; ... Number_30", some had "Number(s)" (which is a
really bad way of doing it, since the whole structure is in brackets,
and it might confuse someone to see brackets used within the
structure), some had references to a list, and so on. Instead, I have
converted them all to either "Number_list", "Value_list", or
"Integer_list", depending on what is required. It may not be the best
choice out of available options, but it is consistant and every
list-based function now follows this pattern.

There is *one* problem though, that I wonder if anyone can help me
with. As Jean will recall, she said that I had put the wrong fields
into the document properties when I converted a document from V1 to
V2, and I mentioned that the text had gone weird on me. Well it
appears to have happened again. If you look at the document, the
chapter number, title, license and subtitle information at the top
appears to be screwed up, but I didn't go near it at all! All I did
was save the document and close it after making my changes, re-opened
it to ensure everything was okay, and noticed that... only the top of
the four properties were labelled in the menu, and fixing the label
and content on them didn't seem to help. Does anyone have any idea
what I'm doing wrong, or how those fields managed to mess up?

Alan
