I'm sorry it's taken me so long to get through this appendix, but the 
concentration required by the level of detail kept putting me to sleep :-)

I've done a copy-edit and tried to make the descriptions more consistent as 
well as doing some minor rewording in a few places. I've left several notes 
in the document asking you questions about things I didn't understand 
enough to change.

In general, it looks good. Obviously the reader needs to have some level of 
understanding that I don't have, and that it's not relevant for this book 
to attempt to teach.
