hi all, any comments and criticism are welcome.. ;-) Q: Why can't i send my mailmerge documents to email recipients? A: The email function depends on the Sun JavaMail Interface. While StarOffice incorporates code to connect the mailmerge application to the mail interface OpenOffice does not provide this functionality. Unfortunately even if you have the JavaMail java classes installed on your computer OOo will not be able to send mailmerge letters to email destinations. OOo 2.0 is not able to send mailmerge letters to email recipients. Q: Well, but there must be a way to send it by email.. A: So far no alternative solution is known. If you have programmed or have otherwise heard of an plugin implementing the mailmerge to email feature just let us know and we'll be happy to spread the word. Q: Why can I send mailmerge letters to my friends via email only with StarOffice? A: In summary this was a political decision from SUN to keep this feature as a feature for their selling customers, who buy StarOffice, only.
