Hi Daniel,
would You be so kind to give me the manager role too?!
I will have a little look at the configuration of the language-files of the plone-configuration, because there are somme little faults...
And - of course - I will help You with the administration too :-)

Cheers,
Marko

Sigrid, what's your login name? Would you be interested in helping with the job of assigning author role to people?

Yes, I'm interested in helping you with "this job" ;) My login-name is
"eskroni" (a short form for my first and family name).

Sorry for the delay, I was out. Yesterday was my brother's 16th birthday and I went out with him. We went to a store where he picked two movies and then I took him to a very nice restaurant for dinner. And then we watched one of the movies he picked. :-)

In any event, it looks like you had the "manager" role already :-) Come to think of it, I think Jean did that. Good. Now, here's how you assign the author role:

Suppose you want to give the author role to user "danielc".

1. Login to the website :-)
2. Click on "plone setup". This is on the gray bar at the top of the page. 3. Click on "Zope Management Interface" (ZMI for short). The ZMI is where all the website management happens. So you can just bookmark this page. 4. On the ZMI, click on "acl_users (Group-aware User Folder)". It's near the top. This is where we manage user accounts.
5. Click on the Users tab at the top.
6. Scroll down until you find the user name (e.g. "danielc").
7. Click on the user name.
8. Select both the "authors" group and the "Author" role from the list.
9. Click "Change".

Presto.

Thank you for helping out with this.

Cheers,
Daniel.
