I talked about the logo in other message, but I have other concern: the
page is too empty, it may make you think that under such an empty front
page is not vary much content. I am not advocating for a over crowded
page, I like the simplicity of Google front page.
I would like the page to diverge a little more for Wikipedia, we need to
show a little originality.
some ideas:
- put the languages on a half of a circle on top of the logo and some
other links in a line on the bottom
- add a search box, for example in the left upper corner, this will give
the idea that the site contains enough content to deserve to be searched
- a link to an "About" page which describe in more words the mission of
OOoAuthors
- the site should have a link to the main OOo website, eventually put
that link in a list of affiliates. for example affiliates could be an
"OOo extras" site, an end-user forum, an aggregator of OOoAuthors people
blogs.
