Hey,
I'm trying to use Javascript to detect the browser's language and
write a different footer accordingly. In addition, if the user doesn't
have Javascript enabled, he'd see text in English.
If what I did is correct, this is what each language should see:
English: The development site for OpenOffice.org documentation.
Spanish: El sitio de desarrollo de documentación para OpenOffice.org.
German: Please contribute a German text.
French: Please contribute a French text.
Korean: Please contribute a Korean text.
Romanian: Please contribute a Romanian text.
Japanese: Please contribute a Japanese text.
Otherwise: No language detected.
If this works, then I would happily receive UTF-8 encoded text from
each langauge and put it on the page.
Please test.
Cheers,
Daniel.
Hi Daniel,
Here's what I'd like to see for the French language:
"OOoAuthors est le site de développement pour la documentation de
OpenOffice.org"
I set the UTF-8 in Thunderbird, so I hope that it would be right.
Thanks for making the change in the page (of course , no rush for that) :-)
Best,
Agnes
