I don't really understand the point of this chapter. It just seems
like a glorified ToC, but whatever. It think it is ready to be published.
Have a good one,
Thanks, Peter.
I didn't write the original version of this chapter, but I think
the idea was/is to be sort of an FAQ, with pointers to where to
get the info.
Since much of that info is in chapters in other books (mainly the
Getting Started guide), that part of the MG intro chapter is more
than a ToC to the book.
I'm not completely happy with this chapter either, but so far I haven't
come up with a better idea. If you have a suggestion, I'm more than
happy to discuss it. I keep thinking a bit more intro material might be
good, instead of just referring the reader to Ch1 of GS, but I don't
want to duplicate any more than is necessary to make this a useful book.
OTOH, I don't want to ditch the chapter, because I do think something is
needed as a sort of "road map".
Cheers, Jean
I have no better ideas, maybe it would be better used as an
introduction. That is probably how it would be used in other books. It
seems like a lot of pages for something so simple. Maybe make them
OOoHeading2s.
I don't know. It's not a big deal.
