Daniel,

The list seems to be down, so I have not seen any reponse you may
have made to the note I sent earlier (quoted below).

Re-reading your second paragraph quoted below, I see you are
definitely not saying what I said you sounded like you were
saying. My apologies for mis-reading.

As for "why can't I point out problems in a way... without
shooting down ideas", I do not think I was shooting down any of
your ideas. If I sounded like I was doing that, then I apologise
for my inability to express myself clearly.

I am more than willing and happy to do what I can, and you should
know from past experience that I am not interested in, or trying
to, be difficult or to attack you or anyone else personally.

All of us have other things to do, and it's perfectly understandable if you can't participate a lot, or at all. But that is no excuse for simply throwing rocks at other people's work without actually suggesting a way towards a solution.

A lot of people who don't have time to spare have pointed out problems in a way that leads to a solution without spending a lot of time making a new site and without shooting down ideas. Why can't you do the same?

I have offered several suggestions, which you accepted. For
example, the sentence "OOoAuthors is the development site for
OpenOffice.org documentation." I don't have time to look up what
the others were. In at least one case I'n sure said I didn't have
a solution but I would try to think of one.

Are you suggesting that if I spot a problem but don't have time
to offer a solution, then I should shut up and not mention the
problem? I don't think that's what you meant, but it sure sounds
like it.

Jean
