You are correct Jean, this Singleton fellow is not a very nice man...angry about something most probably, or possibly frustrated in some way. But his "work" was simply to copy the existing Sun docs...what we have created is much more useful.
In my neighborhood we have names for people like this...but I must remain civil, and will not lower myself to the gutter by uttering any of them.
