Sorry this took so long to get round to.
Alien worked OK on M118 rpms. There are just a few tweaks needed for
the "Installing from Linux RPMs"
In para 2 it would probably be best to specify ... command 'tar -xvzf
OO*.tar.gz'
in para 8 a wild card needs to be inserted into 'openofficeorg.deb'
it should be 'openofficeorg*.deb'
Then for some reason the install script doesn't give any permissions to
'soffice' so another line needs to be appended after Para 10
"run 'chmod 555 /opt/openoffice.org1.9.x/program/soffice' to give all
users permissions to execute."
or alternatively "Navigate to OOo installation directory 'cd
/opt/openoffice.org1.9.x/program/'
and run 'chmod 555 soffice' ...etc"
