What is a FAQ spider? How does it work? What does it do?
The FAQ Spider is a perl program I wrote that will start at the main
page of OOoAuthors.org/en/FAQs and iterate over all the Folders, and FAQ
items and create the static pages, you see at the address above.
I have a template system, that makes it easy to change the look and feel
of the static pages.
The idea is that the FAQ Spider can be automatically run periodically,
so any changes made to the dynamic OOoAuthors site can be copied to the
static site easily.
I had heard about something like this, Bots I think was the term used.
That is some programming. Great on you for doing it.
