Garry,
I like the idea of a library reference for the database, everyone knows
how libraries work. I created a variation of the data dictionary to
hopefully make it more of a real world scenario. I uploaded it to the
database guide feedback section under data_dictionary_variation_GL.sxw
(Data Dictionary Variation 05Aug05.) Please have a look, I put some
comments and my reasoning in there also.
One thing I haven't yet thought through enough is the Books table. I
think it might present a problem if there is more than one author for a
single book, or multiple copies of the same book in a library. I would
like to say I will think about when I'm on vacation next week (I leave
early Saturday morning and won't have access to a computer), but I
highly doubt it. I'm already kind of in vacation mode! I will check back
later today though.
I am still looking at the theory outline, I'll get back to you on that
when I return.
