OpenOffice.org 2.0  :-)

.odp == "open document presentation"

The OpenDocument format is the cool new open standard format for office documents. The comittee that made it included representatives from OpenOffice.org, KOffice, Corel, Sun and Boeing. It is an OASIS standard, and later this year it'll be an ISO standard.

As of OpenOffice.org 2.0 and KOffice 1.4, both office suites will use the same, OpenDocument, format. And other applications will support it:

I wrote an article about this:

Right now, I've been trying the "Übersichtsseite" and decided to proofread
your document. I filled in my name and e-mail adress and the program offered
me a download. Nice, isn't it? Unfortunately I can't open it. It has an
extention .js :-(

That's strange. .js is for Javascript.

Cheers,
Daniel.
