On the OOoAuthors website:

All the .odt chapters are .sxw chapters in the reality, except these ones:
What is OOo?
File Management
Setting Up OOo
Getting Started with Impress
Getting Started with Base

These ones are really .odt chapters

In the Getting Started guide, all of the published chapters are available in both .sxw and .odt, in this folder: http://oooauthors.org/en/authors/userguide2/gettingstarted/draft_pub/folder_contents

I took them all here.

Or did I misunderstand what you are saying?

I am making .odt files from all the .sxw ones in the other books, too, but I don't think I've done them all yet.

I don't understand, because all these chapters are "OpenOffice.org 1.1.4 Text Document" with a .sxw and open with OOo 1.1.4. Others have a .odt.sxw, they open with OOo 1.1.4 too but when they open there is only a empty chapter. If I try to open with OOo beta2, I can see the chapter, but it's still a .sxw, so a OpenOffice.org 1.0 Text Document.
I hope you'll understand my explanations.
Best,

Agnes
