"file" is the correct one ... IIRC Plone does not know OpenDocument 
files as MIME yet ... :( And also when I upload *.sxw files I use

Plone does know the correct MIME type for OpenDocument files 
(Daniel fixed that problem long ago), but you must upload them as 
"File" (not "document"), as you said.
