Thanks Janet~

However, when I enter the Chinese folder, it only says (in Chinese) like "There is nothing in this folder". And there is no "blue menu bar" whcih I saw in some other folder/documents (I've logged in already). Anyone can help me a bit on this? Thanks

Hi, I'm Pui Lam Wong, the current Chinese native-lang lead. We want to setup for writing Chinese documentations in OOoauthors.org. May you please setup for me? My userid is "pplwong".

Hi Pui Lam Wong,

I have created a folder on our website for Chinese translation efforts. Right now, it is empty, and it is not linked to our main page. However, you can use this URL: <http://oooauthors.org/zh/>. You can also go to another language page, and then look for "Chinese" in the Navigation pane on the left side of the page.

The first thing you need to do is to create a page to display for this folder.

1. Go to the Chinese folder.
2. In the blue menu bar, click "Add New Item", and choose "Document".
3. Give the document a "Short Name" of index_html. This name insures that this document will be displayed when users go to this folder. 4. You can enter whatever you like for Title, Description, and Body text. You can use plain text, HTML, or "Structured Text".
5. Click "Save" when you are finished (you can change it later).

You may also want to change the title of the folder to use Chinese characters.

1. Go to the Chinese folder.
2. Click "Properties" in the blue menu bar.
3. Change the "Title", and add a "Description" if you want.
4. Click "Save".

The software that our website runs on is Plone. You can learn more about it at <http://plone.org/>. We also have some tips for our site at <http://oooauthors.org/en/managers/useplone/>.

Please let us know if you have questions or run into problems!
