Some of the recent discussion about Friends of OpenDocument Inc's
sales of OOoAuthors books through Lulu has pointed out to me that
the descriptions I had written in haste for the books and the
site as a whole were poorly worded, contained inconsistencies,
and could confuse or mislead people. That certainly was never my
intention.
I have now made some changes to the wording which I hope have
overcome these problems.
1) I've changed the description of the site itself to be more
general, because FoOD will soon be publishing non-OOoAuthors
books as well (the profits from which will be dealt with
separately). I've also added a bit about FoOD itself.
2) I've slightly changed the bit in the descriptions of the
existing books about the use of the profits, in an attempt to
make it more clear without writing an essay on the subject.
I'm always open to constructive suggestions about the wording of
these statements. As this is not an OOoAuthors issue (FoOD is a
separate group with a broader role), any comments should be sent
to me offlist.
