GS with Calc is not yet "final" published; someone has it out for
checking against the software. So this is an excellent time to
propose changes. Anyone can suggest changes to a "final"
published chapter too, esp. if you find an error or a serious
omission of information.
In this case a note to the list is a good way to suggest a
change, because it really brings it to our attention.

Although this topic is important, I think that what you've
written may be too much detail for a chapter in the GS book. I
would prefer to include a shorter note, with a reference to
somewhere in the Calc Guide where the details are covered.
However, I'd like to hear from some others, esp. among the people
and writing about Calc. Rick? Peter?
