I have made many changes in the Getting Started guide. Most of
these are minor (fixing page breaks and typos, that sort of
thing), but a few are not. These chapters had more substantial
changes:
Ch2 - added info on MacOS X
Ch3 - updated lists of file format that OOo opens and saves to
- replaced some screenshots
Ch5 - replaced some screenshots and added explanation of new
"Icon style" option in OOo - View.
Ch7 - added note about potential problem with numbers entered as
text
Ch8 - removed section on use of HTML export wizard (now in Ch 16)
Ch9 - no further changes since this was rewritten by Dan Lewis
some weeks ago
Ch10 - numerous changes, some substandial, by Dan Lewis
(announced recently on this list)
Ch12 - added note about bug in 2.0.2 that prevents automatic
updating of a document when a linked template is changed
- cut out a lot of repetitive procedural steps, to make
this more consistent with other chapters
Chapters 15, 16, 17 renumbered to put Macros chapter last, as
reported recently on this list
Ch 16 (Creating Web Pages) - added section on use of HTML export
wizard (taken from Ch8)

I have regenerated the full book (PDF) from the revised chapters.
I have uploaded all the changed PDFs to the OOo Documentation
website as well as to OOoAuthors.
