Actually, I realized that what I did wasn't to increase the dot size, but
increase the number of dots. Tools > Options > OpenOffice.org Draw >
Grid. Then where it says "Subdivision", increase that number. Apparently that's
how many dots there will be per some linear dimension. (It wasn't particularly
clear to me what "Subdivision" meant, but I just tried it and it seemed to
work!)
