IIRC the french documents are rather old, so you should probably 
translate English ones instead ... ;)
I would recommend you proofreading first, so you become acquainted 
to our style of translation ... ;) Furthermore, before you start, 
you should read http://oooauthors.org/de, where we have tried to 
give a short overview about our work here. You should also read 
Timo's translation guide, which you find here: 
http://oooauthors.org/de/Vorlagen/Uebersetzung_OOo_Leitfaden_komplett.sxw. 
Timo has put a lot of information in this document, and it is 
really worthwhile to read ... :)
Please have also a look at http://oooauthors.org/de/authors, if your 
chosen document is free for translation ... ;)
