Ah yes, another of the many inconsistencies in OOo! Have you filed a
bug report? If not, I'll do it later in the week.

I didn't bother with filing any bug reports yet, so you can handle this
one. That one bug dealt with the OOo software implementation. There are
some areas in the Online Help that are inconsistent, but I'll deal with
them later.
As I'm reading the Writer Guide, I have parts of four other chapter
reviews in the works, including one recently reviewed by another
reviewer. In that edit, I accepted 100% of his changes (without actually
checking them, BTW) and went from there as if it were a final, published
chapter. One chapter contained around forty instances of double spaces
between words or sentences. These four will probably all be finished
this week.
