(Wow. Spend a week away and this group gets really active! You all must have known I wasn't listening... :) )
Thanks. I'll find ways to work around the x-ref issue. You get kind of spoiled working within a closed system like we have at work, where we cross reference like crazy. >>> "Jean Weber" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 9/29/2006 8:37 AM >>> Scott, Look in the chapter on Master Documents. It should be covered in there. If not, it should be in the chapter on Working with Fields. We have not been using x-refs between chapters because they won't work except within a Master Doc. Fine when generating the whole book, but not so good for the standalone individual chapters. Some day I will finish indexing the Writer Guide. That should help all of us find these more obscure items. --Jean On 9/28/06, Scott Rhoades <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Maybe I missed it in the author's guide or on the Web site (if so, feel free > to hit me over the head with a hard copy and say "Look *here*, you dummy!"), > but I'm having trouble finding how to cross reference to another chapter in > the Writer Guide.
