It worked for me, but it was dynamic and enabled by the installer--the
default. At some point, an alert was issued, telling me of an available
update.

Not sure which one it was, but I'm certain it wasn't working under 2.0.3
I had the same experience as Spencer with 2.0.4 on my Windows XP
machine (said
no updates available even after 2.1 has come out), but I've heard from
at least
one other person (Gary, perhaps?) that it worked for him. I have not
taken the
time to attempt to find out any more about this.
