Hello Paul, Thanks for the thorough review. I have gone through your proposed editorial changes and accepted all of them. I expect Jean to be somewhat unhappy with the change from "xxxx page" to "xxxx tab" since she was the one changing "tab" into "page" when she first reviewed the chapter. I will cover the access to the connectors dialog as well as add a figure where you requested one (actually I might re-do all the screenshots which I mistakenly made using the gnome customized icons set for OOo).
Regarding the comments on duplication of material (e.g. the use of Fontwork), this is a policy decision and therefore I think that it should be again up to Jean to decide. Personally I find useful to have self-contained books, i.e. reading the Impress Guide a user should be able to have a grasp of all the basic features without having to refer to other books. If you look at chapter 1 of the Impress Guide for example you will find that a good 50% of the contents is shared with the Getting Started with Impress chapter of the Getting Started Guide. Also, apart from the Draw Guide (Impress is a kind of forking of Draw so the dependencies are enormous), I always tried to reference other books in Tip or Notes rather than in the main body. As I said I am not sufficiently familiar with the policy adopted in other books, so before uploading the chapter I will wait for Jean's decision on what to do with the Fontwork section and other sections which are already covered in other books. Cheers, Michele
