Hello All,
As discussed in my previous email I have taken chapters 4, 5 and
Appendix B of the Impress Guide and created three new chapters.
This is a quick summary of what I have done:
- wrote a bit more about the connectors (thanks Paul for raising the issue).
- Slight rewording when integrating the material from the Appendix into
a chapter
- Re-drafted the introductions as they were no longer matching the
contents of the chapter.
- Some changes to the chapter on Graphic styles
- The rest I've done has been copying and pasting.
There are still quite a bit of open issues, including:
- (most important) I do not know the surname of Paul therefore he is not
in the Authors list yet.
- Also Gary has not been added to the Authors (yet) as the material he
reviewed is not scattered over the three chapters and I don't know if he
wanted to be associated with them before reviewing them :-)
- some screenshots still done with Ubuntu, some still using the Gnome
icons set (my fault). This is why Peter's name is not in all the
chapters (yet)
- I think I made a bit of a mess with the formatting of chapter 4 (the
page numbers don't look right)
- I agreed a million years ago to add a section about dragging and
dropping images from Nautilus/Windows explorer/Konqueror but never got
around to do it... it inserts the picture as a link and therefore worth
mentioning.
All the chapters have been submitted and waiting for review.

BTW... Unfortunately it will be necessary to renumber all the chapters
from 6 onwards...
