I have never had to log on to the OOo site before downloading any
version of the program, including the developers' builds.
I notice that the way to download developers' builds has changed,
so perhaps that change was in process when you tried to download,
or perhaps the latest build had not been propagated to all of the
mirrors yet. Have you had any luck since writing this note?
When I clicked on any of the choices on the usual download page,
http://download.openoffice.org/680/index.html
it took me to another page (which I haven't seen before),
http://openoffice.bouncer.osuosl.org/download.php
That new page offered, among other things, _m223 which I had
picked up a few days ago from a direct link I have to one of the
sites that stores the builds. I have not attempted to download
anything from the bouncer site, so I don't know if it works for
me or not.
