I am putting together some DocBook 4.5 practice exercises in case
anybody wants to experiment with DocBook XML. Source files

can be downloaded from the OOoAuthors Web site. Eventually, the Writer
Guide source files will be converted to DocBook4.5 XML and style sheets
or FrameMaker EDD and some trial template files will be created for
structured authoring for our writers to use if they desire.
Eventually, there will be more organized structured templates created
for structured authoring for any writer who cares to try it. For now,
it's incomplete and in a state of flux, but more material will be added
every few days. Still, there's enough for anybody to start.
Some more links to various article and references yet need to be added
in some DocBook exercises

forum site. Some threads there go through the procedures of error
correcting of a practice XML file of an actual Writer Guide chapter so
it's not necessary to use an XML editor or such in order to follow
along. Just reading the posts might be all that's needed for some with
basic XML experience.
