I'll try to remove this type from the site tomorrow.
The old types are one of the problems I could not solve in order to get
over stuff into the new plone Version.
Removing the old unused stuff is a big goal on the way to the new
version (but also some work to do).
I'll inform You ....

The "document" option is what we use for pages that display directly

The site does handle all ODF types: odt, ods, odp, etc., as well as
templates. All are recognised by the "File" option under "Add New Item".

I guess Marko is "our friendly Webmaster" so it's up to him if he has
time and knows how to change or delete "OODocument".
