Do not assume that the English-language manuals will be updated to OOo 2.4 soon. We don't have very many people doing updates (especially now that I am no longer working on them), so progress is slow.

Some chapters of some of the English-language books have been updated to 2.1 and some to 2.3, but other chapters have not been updated since 2.0. Of course, some chapters do not require updates, but not all chapters have even been checked to see whether anything needs to be changed.

Which manuals should we base our translations on?

In addition to updates for changes in the software, some chapters have been revised to include more information than was in the 2.0 version, or to make some topics easier to understand. If I were the person doing a translation, I would use the latest available version of each chapter, but it is really up to you how to handle it.

If you check the chapters against the latest software in addition to translating, perhaps you can update them and then tell us what needs to be changed in the English version of the books. The German and Dutch teams often do this. It's very helpful!
