Isn't the PDF import and editing functioning done through Draw?

If that is part of Draw, I'd like to see a new chapter or so on it.

This marketing page lists a PDF import extension:
http://marketing.openoffice.org/3.0/featurelistbeta.html

The page points to this (somewhat old) blog entry, which mentions the first milestone as importing into Draw and Impress. "The next steps are probably improvements in the Writer import, which focuses more on editability, and less on layout."
http://blogs.sun.com/GullFOSS/entry/pdf_import_first_milestone_reached?intcmp=1549

From there I found my way to this wiki page, which shows a mockup import options dialog giving PDF Import Options of Text Document, Presentation, or Drawing. http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Pdf_Import_Extension

This page talks about the Writer PDF Import:
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Writer/ToDo/PDF_Import

It points to this issue:
http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=10384

Up-to-date, definitive information on this feature/extension is certainly elusive, including whether the first release will include PDF import into Writer or just Draw and Impress. Perhaps if I were reading the developers' list, I might know more.
