I think you will agree that they are visually very, very similar to
the LT chapter 09 I created the other day, but have clear advantages
when it comes to convert "old OOo2.x chapters".
They both look good to me and are both much better layout solutions
than mine. I tried them on two machines: my old 15" non-wide laptop
(1400 x 1050) and the new widescreen monitor (1920 x 1200). I haven't
tried the 12" high-res screen yet, but I think they will both work
well on that one too. Heh... the real test would be the Asus Eee! :-)
I'll try that later today.
I'll have to think some more about the pros and cons of the two
choices before offering a strong preference for one or the other. My
first reaction is a slight preference for the portrait version, as it
allows for more flexibility in viewing and output (single page or
facing pages). But they are both good. Thank you!
