Hi guys,

Sorry about the delay in my response, I've been juggling some mysterious hard disk issues here on my end. In general I'll hold off on a detailed Chapter 1 and 2 review until Jean has had an opportunity to merge his changes, and those chapters are put back into the review queue. A few items I noticed though, after just a summary glance...

Concerning the "dialog box" over "dialog" discussion we had earlier, and per Gary's recommendation for the WG, I noticed that Michele had made those changes to Chapter 1, but I didn't check to see if they were made in Chapter 2. I just thought I'd mention as a little note for when an editing pass is made on CH. 2 for consistency. I'll be keeping an eye out for those as I move forward with the other chapters of the WG.

Thanks for catching the character styles for Chapter 2, Michele, I missed that for my review of both Chapter 1 and 2, but now that Jean has me on the right track I'll know what to do for moving forward. :)

I like the brevity used in the naming of the options pages now--instead of the full "OpenOffice.org - Options page" in the discussion text. I think the character style was missed in only one spot for the options page name, under the HTML Compatibility section.

I also noticed you changed "checkbox" to just simply "box" in several places. I think it's better to leave those as "checkbox" instead, or perhaps using the term "option."

Thanks,
Sak.

Hello SAK, Jean

I have reviewed and accepted your modifications to the chapter 2 and
chapter 8 of the Writer guide and uploaded the files without revision
marks in the draft folder of the Writer guide folder.

For the time being I will not re-submit them as I would prefer if we
could have a pass first at all the chapters, but of course if you feel
they need further edits let me know and I will put them in the review
list.

Chapter 2:
- updated the template in order to sort out the numbering issue
- tried to get consistency by using OOoEmphasis for the name of the options page
- used the same language at the beginning of each new section
- removed the numbering where there was only one numbered item.
- added some text to address the notes you placed in the text.

Chapter 8:
- accepted all the changes proposed by Jean
As usual, while accepting the changes I have learnt a lot on the
command of the language... thanks Jean!

Cheers,

Michele
