Dear Jean and developers of OOoBase:

The Base tutorial is about 80% finished. The text has received input from Drew Jensen (invaluable help, thanks!) and William Marchant, who is editing it. Stephane, a member from a French OOo list is attempting a translation to French (and when I'm done with the English version, I will start a translation to Spanish!). Unfortunately, the 20% remaining can only be completed with the assistance of a technical person, someone like Drew who knows Base intimately. At this moment Drew is taking some time off of the project to attend other matters. Jean, I would be very appreciative if you can connect me with one of the other Base programmers you know. I can see that there is a lot of enthusiasm with the release of version 3 and I am sure that most resources are devoted to this endeavor. However, one can only notice that the folders at OOoAuthors for a Base Guide are empty for both, versions 2 and 3(*). I believe that this tutorial can come in on time to fill a very important gap. Given that this project is so close to completion, I really urge a programmer to take interest in it and give William, Stephane and me the help we need to finish the tutorial as soon as possible.

I have posted requesting help not only in this list but also in the [EMAIL PROTECTED] list, but with no success. I am now appealing to your influence.

Thanks in advance,

Mariano.

(*) On the other side, documentation.openoffice.org has only two entries for Base: The manual by Manuel Naudin translated to English from French, and an early an incomplete first draft of the Tutorial. You can find them here: http://documentation.openoffice.org/servlets/ProjectDocumentList?folderID=597&expandFolder=597&folderID=597. Jean, I also have in my hard disk a copy of the manual in which you participated but I am now unsure about where to find it.

Does AndrewBase.odt fill any of the gaps?

I have no time to devote to the project, but you are free to take material directly from AndrewBase.odt if you desire, just ask me before you do it, and tell me how much you desire to take.
