The only stupid questions are the ones which are not asked. Yes,
please send the name of the chapter you are taking to work on. Someone
else will possibly give you a more detailed
answer
Just make sure you have record selected: Edit > Changes > Record.
It should have a check in front of it. You might also might want to
have Show also checked: Edit > Changes > Show.

Also, enter your name into the chapter(s) you work on, too.
And toggle off Changes > Show when updating because it sometimes locks
some undesired changes into the text inadvertently, say in the ToC, etc.
Afterwards, you could toggle it back on again and continue editing. In
any case, there's no permanent harm if you forget--only the "last"
update matters
