You will probably discover Draw can't hold a candle in front of Illustrator, while Inkscape can dive it a real really good run for its money (I know people who have access to both and prefer to use Inkscape instead of Illustrator). Keep in mind Draw is mostly a special instance of Impress, with basic tools and a limited target (and Illustrator has the lead on some areas where FLOSS just can't compete, like Pantone colors, where the blocker is legal). Comparing IrfanView with Photoshop would be a joke, since one is a viewer with some basic editing abilities, while the other is a powerful editor. OTOH, comparing GIMP and Photoshop is valid, since both are the same category of applications (I save the argument about how in this comparison GIMP is technically inferior but for most people should not mater). note: I am a heavy user and big fan of both Inkscape and GIMP. -- nicu :: http://nicubunu.ro :: http://nicubunu.blogspot.com my OpenOffice.org pages: http://ooo.nicubunu.ro Open Clip Art Library: http://www.openclipart.org my cool Fedora wallpapers: http://fedora.nicubunu.ro/wallpapers/
