When you have made more than a trivial change (such as correcting a few typos), it is appropriate to add your name to the list of authors.
Aside: Gary prefers to put all the names in alphabetic order, but I prefer to put first the name of the person who did most of the work on the chapter, when someone has done a disproportionate amount of work, and then everyone else in alphabetic order.
