Here you switch from passive voice to active; why not use the latter
throughout?

"don't grok" is better written as "cannot parse".
No, I don't really mind if you ignore my comments. If the content is
correct (which I just assume it is, not knowing better), just go ahead
with the patch. Do you need someone to apply it for you?
