autoconf make files

I am in the process of installing autoconf on Solaris 2.51.  The configure
scripts create the make files.  I get the following error when I run the
make file in the autoconf-2.1 directory.
    
        makeinfo  -I  ./autoconf.texi --no -split --output=autoconf.info

autoconf.texi is in the autoconf-2.1 directory.  Any help would be greatly
appreciated.
